Charity Drive for Haiyan Victims
Team Hainan and Las Carretas Charity Drive for Haiyan Victims was mooted by
Mr MC Lim sometime in December 2013.
He together with his fellow golf team mates; ultimately, Mr. Raymond Phua, Mr Franklin D’Cruz, Mr Chia WF, Mr TY Ngiam, Encik Azizul alongside with Las Carretas raised a total of RM17,000 within a span of 4 months.
Our liaison over in Manila was Mr Nixon whom has been known to Mr Franklin years ago due to business relations and he connected the charity drive with Philippines very own DZMM Teleradyo Program named MISMO hosted by non other than Mr Jobert Sucaldito and Mr Ahwel Paz from ABS-CBN Radio and TV network or commonly known as Channel 7 in the Philippines. It was telecasted live on Friday, 20 May 2014 at 10PM till 10:30PM all over Philippines
At the end of the program, a liaison from the official Haiyan Disaster relief Office was at the studio to witness and collect the cash on behalf of us and a receipt was issued.
